As Mental Health week comes this year, I think we are all much more aware of the ways that connection with other people, freedom to move and touch, and the predictable rhythms of life are part of wellbeing. The external threat of COVID-19, the internal threat it causes, and the loss of connection with loved ones have disrupted our lives in so many ways.
In honour of Mental Health Week this year – I would love to share a self-care resource developed during my PhD with my Zest Community. Can I encourage you to take the time to reflect on each of these carefully chosen questions, take time to care for yourself and your loved ones, and seek help if finding calm is difficult for you.
