My passion is to help people understand themselves and their world in a way that brings a greater sense of connection, meaning, and richness to their lives.

This began in childhood, with my curiosity about the 'why' of things and how everything fits together. My first career, in the engineering sector, allowed me to explore these interests—applying concepts and techniques to real-world problems. Over time, I discovered a growing desire to help people understand things better, which led me to teaching. After a few years, I realised my real calling was to help people better understand and manage their own lives, and this brought me to psychology. After completing my undergraduate studies at UQ, I earned my master’s qualifications at QUT and have since worked in both private practice and hospital settings.

I strive to bring a warm, collaborative approach to sessions, using curiosity and empathy to help people develop a more authentic and compassionate relationship with themselves and others. Depending on your needs, I utilise elements of Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Existential Therapy, and Positive Psychology. My approach is also shaped by my own life experiences—being a father, living in Japan for four years, and previous careers in English teaching, automotive engineering, and martial arts instruction.

I see clients aged 17 and over, offering both short-term and longer-term therapy tailored to your individual goals and needs. I have experience supporting both men and women through a wide range of life challenges, providing a compassionate and collaborative space to explore difficulties, build on your strengths, and work towards meaningful, lasting change.

I look forward to helping you experience life in the best way you can.
