Fees at Zest Infusion

You do not require a referral to attend our practice. In these circumstances the full fee will apply.

You are however required to obtain a referral/mental health care plan from your GP or psychiatrist should you be wanting to claim a Medicare rebate.

For referrers, we use Medical-Objects.

Please note you do not require a GP referral to attend, it is completely optional and simply to aid in costs.

You are required to obtain a mental health care plan from your GP or psychiatrist in order to access a Medicare rebate.

We provide psychological treatment under the Australian Government's Better Access to Mental Health Care initiative. As such, you may be able to access Medicare rebates, for both in person or Telehealth sessions, if you are eligible for a Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP. Rebates can be processed directly for you at your session.

We offer services under Mental Health Care Plans for up to 10 rebateable sessions per calendar year; Eating Disorder Treatment Plans for up to 40 rebateable sessions per calendar year and Chronic Disease Management Plans for up to 5 rebateable sessions per calendar year.

Not covered: couples therapy, psychotherapy, cognitive assessments, some other services.

We are registered with private health insurance providers in Australia and as such if you have private health insurance you may be eligible to claim rebates on psychology and dietitian services.

Rebates available are dependent on individual cover and you are encouraged to call your health provider to obtain a quote.

We can process your private health claim in person on your behalf following your session. You will then be required to pay the remaining out-of-pocket amount.

Please be aware you cannot use your private health insurance if you are already accessing Medicare rebates for your session.

If you hold a Commonwealth Government concession card (pension or health care), please contact our reception team. We may be able to offer a reduced rate with practitioner approval.

Full payment by client required on the day; claim reimbursement directly from your insurer/agency.

We do not bill third parties directly or liaise regarding payments or forms.

If you require written reports or letters from your practitioner, these are billed at an hourly rate. Please discuss costs with your practitioner as needed.

As session times are in high demand, we require at least 2 business days' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, or a cancellation fee will be charged: $215 psychology or mental health social work, $120 for psychotherapy, and $140 for dietetic services.

If you cancel the day of your session or fail to arrive for a session, inclusive of forgetting it was scheduled, the full session fee will be incurred. Day of cancellations impacts both clients waiting for a session and the practitioner who spent the morning preparing the session. We understand some emergencies are unavoidable—please call us as soon as possible if you need to cancel due to illness or urgent matters.

For any appointments on Mondays, notifications of any reschedules are to be received by the latest the Friday prior. Weekends are considered out of hours.

Any sessions not confirmed by 8:00am the day prior, or Friday for sessions scheduled on Mondays, will need to be removed and will be offered to the next client on the waitlist.

We do offer Telehealth sessions as an alternative should you be too unwell to attend in person.

Fees for group programs are set in line with industry standards. Medicare rebates for group sessions are not guaranteed. For more information, see our Workshops & Groups page.

What do I pay upfront?

You pay the full fee at your appointment. If eligible, rebates are processed on-the-spot via Medicare or Private Health Insurance.

How do I claim my rebate?

Bring your valid referral (if needed) and your Medicare card.

Do you offer payment plans?

Flexible payment options are available for assessments. We offer the convenience of splitting the total amount into two instalments. To proceed with scheduling your assessment, we kindly ask for a 50% deposit to be made prior to your first appointment. The remaining balance can then be settled prior to your feedback and report session. Please ask our reception team.
