B.Sc. (HONS) Psychology, Grad. Dip. Psychotherapy, MAPS
I work as a Registered Psychologist and mainly use CBT and Psychodynamic theory, but I also draw upon Schema Therapy and Mindfulness.
I strive to offer a supportive therapeutic space that is safe enough to be nurturing, yet robust enough for gentle challenging. I have a passion for empowerment, and I feel privileged to hear client’s stories and watch them grow in confidence and vitality.
I work on the principle that awareness allows us to choose to live in more authentic and meaningful ways. Too many of us have taken a compromised existence to get our needs met, and need to find our own voice, or to amplify the voice that we have.
I worked for many years in Mental Health Services and related rehabilitation settings before working in private practice as a psychologist.
I have expertise and interest in: Mens Issues, Mental Health Issues, Older Adults, Addictions, Sexuality, Workplace Bullying, Life Transitions, Struggles and Success of Migrants, Coaching, WorkCover Related Injuries and Employee Assistance.
I also conduct training workshops, facilitate groups, and attend critical incidents.
I look forward to being of assistance.
